Terra Interruptus 2
Graphite, acrylic paint on paper
59"h x 80"w
I am interested in the tradition of landscape art that glorifies and romanticizes nature, but I choose to add more to this dialogue by looking at unwelcome contemporary human intervention in the landscape, from environmental issues to war, from intellectual to scientific interference. TERRA INTERRUPTUS is a series of 102 drawings on varying scales that visually debate these issues.
